Tour Plan

Day to day

Rafting Peru

In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel. When you leave the city of Cusco you will drive via a beautiful route through the towns of Andahuaylillas and Urcos. Along the way you will see colorful locals on their way to local markets or their fields where they work their crops. Halfway along the route you will see the Urubamba River for the first time, a river that rises high in the Andes and then flows further into the jungle via the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu.

After a journey of one and a half hours you will arrive at the place where you start the day excursion Rafting Peru. With a small group you will make a rafting excursion under the guidance of a professional class 5 guide. The rafting trip itself lasts a total of 2 to 2.5 hours and takes place on the Urubamba river. The fastest parts during the course are classified in class 3 and 4. During the excursion you will encounter beautiful rapids and the water is very clean and clear. The surroundings, if you still have an eye for it, consist of alternating rock walls and beautiful views of mountain formations in the distance. After the rafting there is a sauna in the base camp that you can use. Lunch is provided during the excursion. At the end of the afternoon you will be brought back to your hotel in Cusco.

Instead of 1 day, it is also possible to go rafting for 2 or 3 days.

During the 2-day Rafting Peru you will make a rafting excursion both days, both times on a different part of the Urubamba river. The overnight stay takes place at a camping spot next to the river. You fall asleep with the sound of a flowing river in the background.

During the 3-day Rafting Peru you travel to the Apurimac River about 4 hours drive from Cusco. This river is also known as the most direct source of the Amazon and therefore the longest river in the world. During this 3-day excursion you will pass remote gorges and see animals such as river otters, shelducks and cormorants. Both overnight stays take place in tents on sandy beaches next to the river.
