Horse riding, half day

At a local ranch, just outside the city of Cusco and near the Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman, a first Cusco horse riding tour starts. During this tour you will ride in a small group with your horse through the Andes mountains. Along the way you will pass a number of Inca sites such as Quenko, Puca Pucara and Tambo Macay. You will ride together with a guide and horse riding experience is not necessarily necessary. The Cusco horse riding tour starts in the morning and lasts half a day in total.

Horse riding, full day

In the Sacred Valley, about an hour's drive from Cusco, it is possible to do another Cusco horseback riding tour. In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco and taken to the town of Maras, which is known for its salt pans. The horses and your guide will be waiting for you in Maras. You will start your horseback riding tour and soon you will be riding through the beautiful landscape surrounded by mountains.

Along the way you will experience local farming life up close. After about 2 hours you will arrive at the archaeological complex of Moray. After a visit to Moray you will be offered a picnic in a quiet place with a beautiful view of various mountains and glaciers, including Chicón, Huanca Puma, Sahuasiray and Pitusiray. You will then drive back to Maras via a different road. At the end of the afternoon you will visit the salt pans of Maras. After this visit you will be taken back to the city of Cusco.
